Money doesn’t grow like leaves on a tree

There was a man who always stared at a tree, watching its leaves grow. He really liked the tree and admired it.

He compared the way the tree’s leaves grew to his own monthly earnings. He realized that his money never increased like the leaves did—it always ran out.

One day, he brought a colleague from work to the tree. Pointing at the leaves, he said, “Look at this tree. Every day its leaves keep growing. Our monthly earnings should be like the tree’s leaves.”

His friend smiled and said, “Money doesn’t grow like leaves on a tree, but if you save and and make it invest wisely, it grow. Tree leaves may wither over time, but money, if stored properly, lasts.”
