Bilipang Daimary (born 2000) is a young Bodo poet. He was born on 1st March 2000 to Bodo speaking family Lt. Mebro Daimary and Lauseng Daimary at the village Dahalapara under Bijni sub-division in Chirang district. He passed his matriculation and H.S. from Barlowgaon Bodo High School and Bijni College, Bijni.
He did his graduation from Bijni College, Bijnii and completed his master’s degree from Gauhati University, Guwahati. He is pursuing his Doctoral Studies under Dibrugargh University.
Daimary is a young Bodo poet. His poetry book “Nwng Bese Haowarsim: Jiu Thwinai” was published in 2019 by himself.
Jingkiri Boro (born 1999) is an Indian Bodo language poet and essayist from Baksa district, Assam. She has one book of poetry ‘Kousethini Lamajwng’ . The book was published in 2018 by her father Pradeep Boro.
Jingkiri was born on 1st January 1999 at Golagaon village of Baksa district, Assam to Pradeep Boro and Pagunsri Boro. She started her early education from No. 2 Golagaon L.P. School. She completed her schooling and Higher Secondary from Golagaon Himachal High School , Baksa in 2015 , and Koklabari Chapaguri Junior College in 2017. She did her bachelor at Bogadhar Brahma Kishan College, Baksa. She completed her master’s degree from Bodoland University, Kokrajhar.
She started her literary career by writing poetry since her school days, and published her first poetry book on 7th January 2018, which was published by her father Pradeep Boro.
Apart from the writing poetry she writes essays and published for magazines and souvenirs. In 2018, she selected as Secretary for literary organization named Bodo Youth Writers’ Forum. She has been invited and participated for poetry festivals and events organized by Bodo Writers’ Academy, Sahitya Akademi, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, All India Radio and many literary organizations.
Self Made Rani Boro (born 1997) is an Indian young short story writer, poet, poetry performer and student activist. She has published two books in Bodo language.
She was born on 2nd June 1997 to Dehiram Boro and Pramila Boro at Kwirabari village of Udalguri district. She started her early education from Simlubari L.P. School. She passed her matriculation examination from Alongbar High School in 2013. She was one of the toppers in High School Leaving Certificate examination from Bodo medium and the winner of Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Bantha by All Bodo Students Union. She joined for her higher education at Khoirabari Higher Secondary School and passed her HSSLC Examination in 2015. In 2018, she completed her Bachelor of Arts with English honours . She then joined for her Master’s Degree in Bodoland University, Kokrajhar and completed in 2020.
She is a well-known Bodo short story writer, poet and student activist. She has published two books of short stories including Lafinjaywi Khitir (2018) and Undahani Or (2020). She took part in many literary festivals and programmes organized by Sahitya Akademi, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, All Bodo Students Union, Bodo Writers’ Academy, Bodo Women Writers’ Association, Bodo Youth Writers’ Forum and All India Radio, Guwahati and many more literary festivals and programmes organised by various literary organizations and institutions.
She was a Public Relations Secretary of Khoirabari Anchalik All Bodo Students Union (2016-2018). She was the Assistant Literary Secretary and Vice-president of Bodoland University All Bodo Students Union for two terms from 2018-2020. She has been serving as a Secretary and Vice-President for Bodo Youth Writers’ Forum from 2017.
She was awarded the prestigious Sahitya Akademii Yuva Puraskar in 2024 for her short story book ‘Saiklum’.
Mainaosri Daimary (born 1997) is a young Bodo language poet, writer, translator and poetry performer. She was born on 29th September 1997 at Kachubil (Daoharukhuli) village of Paneri Hatt in Udalguri district, Assam to middle class family Martyr Fwrdana Daimary and Purnima Daimary. Her father Martyr Fwrdana Daimary was shot by the NDFB, on 19th April 1998 when she was only the sixth months of age. The martyr Fwrdana Daimary was a well-known student activist, writer and also the president of Darang District All Bodo Students Union from 1997 to till his death.
In 2013, she passed her matriculation examination from Rabikachari Memorial School. She passed her higher secondary examination in 2015 from National Pioneer Junior College, and Bachelor of Arts graduated from Tangla College, Tangla in 2018 with Economics honours. She went to Kokrajhar, and studies her master’s degree in Economics subject in Bodoland University. She completed her master’s degree in 2020.
She has been writing poetry since her school days, and credited one book of poetry to Bodo literature. The name of book is ‘Daoha Mwnse Khungnangou Dong’ was published by Words N Words, Kokrajhar in 2019.
Apart from the writing poetry, she has written short stories and articles on literature and bussiness purpose for magazines and souvenirs. She was awarded the ‘Udangshri Laimwn Bantha’ for best article of 10th Issue Undangshri, the monthly magazine published by Udangshri Publications associated with Words N Words, Kokrajhar Town from Kokrajhar district in 2019 for her short story ‘Swrkhou Dushibaonw Anglai’, where she used new writing technique and style.
She took part in many poets’ meets and poetry reading sessions, translation workshop and various literary programmes organised by Sahitya Akademi, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, All Bodo Students Union, Bodo Writers’ Academy, All India Radio, Bodo Youth Writers’ Forum, Bodo Women Writers’ Association and various literary institutions and organizations.
She was awarded the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2023 for her poetry book ‘Som, Jiu, Arw..’. At presently, she is a research scholar of Bodoland University, Kokrajhar.
Anila Swargiary (born 1996) is an Indian poet and short-story writer, who write in Bodo language and contributed to Bodo literature. She took part in many poets’ meets, poetry reading sessions and literary programmes organised by Sahitya Akademi, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Bodo Youth Writers’ Forum, Bodo Women Writers’ Association and various literary institutions and organizations.
She was born on 14th August 1996 to Bodo speaking family Bineswar Swargiary and Nuni Swargiary at Bogadoba village of Darangiri in Goalpara district, Assam.
She completed her master’s degree in Bodo from Gauhati University, Guwahati in 2019. At presently, as an assistant teacher she teaches Bodo literature in Darangiri Higher Secondary School, where she completed her class 12th final examination in 2014.
She started her literary career by writing both poetry and short story since her school days, and has credited one book of short stories named ‘Fasi Hwjanai Simang’, which was published by Amrit Kherkatary, a writer, casual annoucer of All India Radio, Guwahati (Bodo section) and the president of Youth Bodo Writers’ Forum on 16th November 2019.
Anila Swargiary is closely related to the Youth Bodo Writers’ Forum which was formed on 6th May 2018 at Chapaguri village in Chirang district. She served as a Public Relations Secretary of the organization for one term. At presently, she is a research scholar of Gauhati University, Guwahati under Folklore department.
Bonjar Gwra Brahma (born 1995): He was born on 22nd December 1995 to Bodo speaking family Ratan Kumar Narzary and Bwisumathi Narzary at Ballimari village under Gosaigaon sub-division in Kokrajhar district. He started his early education from Ballimari L. P. School, and passed his matriculation examination from Gosaigaon Higher Secondary School, Gosaigaon in 2011 with first division. He, then joined for his higher education in Gosaigaon College, Gosaigaon, and graduated Bachelor of Arts in 2017 with Bodo Honours. He completed his masters’ degree in Bodo Literature from Bodoland University, Kokrajhar in 2019.
Bonjar is a young multi-talented modern poet and writer too. He can write both Bodo and English as well. He has published three books of poetry till date including- ‘Angni Anjaliya Angjwng Gwsw Twjayakiswi (2016)’, ‘Gwswni Ainayao Ang Nubaitayw Nwngni Minislu Mohor (2018)’ and ‘Mwdwiya Fwrmayw Nwngni Gabnaya Kamnai Bikhanimwn (2020)’, which was published by Bodo Publication Board, under Bodo Sahitya Sabha.
He has been influenced by contemporary writings of Bodo and English poets. Some of those poets are mentioned here Dr. Sunil Phukan Basumatary, P.B Shelly, T.S Elliot, John Keats etc. He says that one of the greatest English romantic poets P.B Shelly is his favourite poet.
He likes to write poetry whenever he is inspired by a particular situation or momemt as aome English poets did. Apart from the writing poetry he has written some articles on Bodo material culture and Bodo poetry. He took part in many poets’ meets and poetry reading sessions and various literary programmes organized by Bodo Writers’ Academy, Sahitya Akademi, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Bodo Youth Writers’ Forum and various literary institutions and organizations.
