There was a very large tree in a forest. It was very beautiful and full of branches. All the birds, insects, bees, and foxes in the forest loved climbing the tree.
One day, an ant went to the village and saw children climbing trees and having fun. Hearing the children laughing and singing, an ant felt really happy and got a little lost in the moment.
An ant came to the great tree in the forest and asked, “Why didn’t you grow in this forest? It would have been nice if you had grown up in the village. Think how happy the village children would have been to climb you. They would sing, and you would have been so happy to hear them sing.”
“I don’t want anything from people,” the tree said. ‘But if I had grown up in the village, they would have cut me down by now.’
The tree added, ‘I’ve loved growing in the woods. For me, the fact that you’re living happily ever after is enough. Tell the villagers so they don’t come to cut me down.
